Our Mission Statement
Seeking to see saved those that are lost. "For
the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost."
Luke 19:10
* Integrity -- Ephesians 4:1 "I, therefore, the prisoner of the
Lord, entreat you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which
you have been called."
* Restoration -- Luke 4:18-19 "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
because He anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor. He has sent
me to proclaim release release the captives, and recovery of sight to
the blind, to set free those who are downtrodden. To proclaim the favorable
year of the Lord."
* Freedom -- Ephesians 4
* Compassion -- Mathew 14:4 "And when he went ashore, He saw a
great multitude, and felt compassion for them, and healed their sick."
* Relationships -- Ephesians 4:1-5 "I, therefore, the prisoner
of the Lord, entreat you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with
which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience,
showing forbearance to one another in love, being diligent to preserve
the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and
one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling;
one Lord, one faith, one baptism.
* Unity -- Ephesians 4:3 "being diligent to preserve the unity
of the Spirit in the bond of peace."
* Family -- Joshua 24:15 "And if it is disagreeable in your sight
to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve:
whether the goods which your fathers served which were beyond the River,
or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for
me and my house, we will serve the LORD."
The History of FBC
The seed planted by God for a biker church began at the State Evangelism Conference in Oklahoma City on Jan. 29, 2008. Billy and Vici-Beth Morgan "felt" God preparing them for something He wanted them to do. At the conference, Sam Scott, who is over the church planning North American Mission Board, approached Billy and asked him if he would be interested in starting a biker church. He also said it should be a church that is non-traditional.
Next, Mr. Scott asked Billy to pray about starting a biker church in Duncan, OK.In the beginning when Billy began to discuss this idea with Vici-Beth and other individuals, most answered by laughing. They wanted to know if Billy was just going through a mid-life crisis. They knew Billy and Vici-Beth were happy at Patterson Avenue Church in Comanche, Oklahoma where his ministry was at the time.
Billy and Vici-Beth were obedient to God's calling and began praying for God's direction. The many, many hours of prayer to seek God's direction had begun. Billy also asked God's direction on who he should ask to join him to help "realize" God's vision for this biker church. Even in the developing stages of this church, people were praying and in turn, also led to specific scriptures by God to seek the decisions about pursuing the idea of building a biker church in Stephens County, Oklahoma.
There were 16 people that choose to be obedient to God's calling and become the "core" group of the biker church. They include: Billy & Vici-Beth Morgan, Matt Tucker, Lyndsey & Nelson Miller, Kathy & Roger Deevers, Mike & Pam Miller, Jerry & Debbie Wilson and Billy Don & Bethany Dempsey.
The Church began with its first meeting April 6, 2008 in the prayer garden at Billy and Vici-Beth's house. There were 12 people present at the time. On April 27, 2008, they had 18 people present for their first church meeting in Jerry Wilson's machine shop.On September 28, 2008, it was decided that the church would move to 910 Willow for the first service in Duncan. "Many" came to help remodel and prepare the building for the first service.
This was also the location where the biker church became, Freedom Biker Church. As this building began to fill quickly, some became curious about "how big does God want this church to be?" Soon another building would be needed because we were out growing the current location..On March 1, 2009 Freedom Biker Church moved to 803 W. Walnut, the present location and up to this point 18 people had been baptized, By the end of March there were 195 in attendance.
Presently we have approximately 400 and still growing. May 3rd, 2009, the church voted to purchase 30 acres for the future growth of Freedom Biker Church. December 13th, 2009 during our first business meeting we voted to look into the building of a sanctuary to house around 1,000 people. As of December 20, 2009 there have been 104 baptisms at Freedom Biker Church.
